CERTIFICATION “ABITARE QUALITÀ”
for Legacoop Abitanti

Angelo Mingozzi contributed to the establishment of the certification "Abitare Qualità" for Legacoop Abitanti, as Scientific Technical Committee member, who joined the working group "Sostenibilità e politiche di rete", by defining the requirements and the procedure for assigning the certification.

The certification is one of the results of a long process, started in 2001 and lasted 12 years, oriented to the complexity of sustainable thinking, which considers the city and the territory as a social ecosystem characterized by constantly changing flows.

The "Abitare Qualità" certification was born with the aim to create and share an effective "internal regulatory system", capable of supplying information, educate and drive towards sustainable choices for each different reality, place and moment.

The sustainable approach has been chosen as a possibility, which allowed the Cooperatives of inhabitants to upgrade their operational and cultural traditions, consistenty with their own values.

The starting point is the "Codice Concordato" which states the cooperative principles on the one hand, and the correct design approaches on the other hand, to reach a "sustainable living".

Then the "Mandatory requirements for minimum environmental energy quality" are defined, required for every building compliant with the Code.

The actions required to adhere to the "Registry of Cooperatives for Sustainable Living", an indispensable condition for boasting the "Abitare Qualità" certification.
