Expansion and upgrading of the production site requires a variation to the planning instruments, to define the new industrial settlement "Clementino Bonfiglioli". RICERCA E PROGETTO has taken care of the zoning revision, developing the preliminary design and preparing the reports for Environmental and Territorial Sustainability Evaluation / Strategic Environmental Assessment, with which an environmental monitoring plan has been definied to control the effects of the project over the environment and the sustainability general objectives. The general objectives of the project are consistent with the urban plans, aimed to social and economic development: to foster the productive activity of Bonfiglioli in the same place where it was born and developed; to redevelop the existing production site, in terms of landscape, architecture, energy and human wellbeing, as part of a urban regeneration process; to reduce and rationalize circulation of vehicles and people, encouraging sustainable mobility and reducing the impact on the mobility system; to create a new generation factory paradigm, which is functional and liveable, focused on excellence in production processes and quality, innovation and quality for people. One of the project goals is to locally close the energy cycle: it focuses on achieving excellence in energy performance, such as NZEB building features, compliance with the local industrial settlements Guidelines (Apea); expansion at zero energy balance; expansion that generates more energy than necessary to all building services; best energy class (A4). The project involves the construction of a public bike path, with a bridge crossing the railway line.
