PRESENTED TO THE PRESS THE PROJECT OF THE NEW PRODUCTION PLANT "EVO", DESIGNED BY RICERCA E PROGETTO FOR BONFIGLIOLI RIDUTTORI

The expansion project, developed by Ricerca e Progetto, is called EVO and will be the largest industrial site of Bonfiglioli Riduttori in Italy. By 2018 it will rise on 148,700 sqm: the new plant will include the current production plant of Calderara di Reno (Bologna). It will also have 56,000 sqm of green spaces. Bonfiglioli in 2015 had a turnover of 730 million euros, and in 2016 is estimated to reach 780. EVO will require an investment of 60 million euros. Lines will produce 800,000 units per year, employing 600 workers, as a result of the integration of all the industrial activities of the Industrial Business Unit, now divided between the offices of Calderara di Reno, Sala Bolognese and Vignola. EVO will be born 'green': there will be 455 trees, 3000 sqm of green roofs and it will generate more energy than necessary, using renewable energy systems. There will be a 3 MW PV system on roofs and on parking shelters.
