Angelo Mingozzi has played the role of scientific co-director of the procedure for obtaining the certification Istituto Nazionale di Bioarchitettura - INBAR, which aims to certify a sustainable building process with environmental energy performances that are appropriate for sustainable architecture.
The performance-based approach of the building process is consistent with that of the main evaluation / validation tools including: the British "EcoHomes" which is part of BREEAM; the American "LEED" of the U.S. Green Building Council; the French "HQE2R", the Canadian "Green Building Challenge", the Italian "ITHACA Protocol" for energy and environmental certification of buildings.
The 1-2005 version of INBAR certification has been tested in a construction project consisting of six buildings (a total of 39 rooms) located in Formia (Latina). The peculiarity of INBAR certification is that it is managed directly from the website. The applicant for certification can access to reserved sections where he/she can compile and download the forms of pre-analysis of the site, the design group, site analysis, energy targets, ecological evaluation of the intervention, management group, ecological classification intervention.
